A Brief Story

Her eyes are sort of a light grey. They are such a unique color that when I look into them as I am now, I actually feel the sensation of alarm in my lower stomach because somewhere in my mind I must know that this is not a usual appearance of the human eye. Also her smell is something extraordinary though i can not classify it as attractive like a perfume, it is definitely the unique scent of a human body, a sweat and musk, that i immediately recognize and somehow it conjures up childhood memories of a teacher i had in primary school that had a very nice smile and a high frequency pitch to her voice. She also had a scent somewhat like this. But this woman, with grey eyes, her voice was most engaging when not ten minutes ago was screaming "Remi!", "Remi!". I did not respond then because what is there to say. But now, I can not respond because she is dead. And the housekeeper is knocking on the door, and our cat, who is usually well behaved is taken to clawing up the furniture a nd mewing incessantly. It is 2pm and there is very little traffic outside today, although, tuesday is not the busiest day by any means in this part of the city. When I let in the housekeeper I can not help but be dissapointed by the fact that she is old and sickly looking. Even though my wife is lying dead on the floor, an unattractive woman in close quarters does not suit my mood and only adds to the tension in my stomach.

Halloween

Artemus Krenshawk was straining to see the key
he had left so absently on the kitchen table was covered in his own blood
looking down quickly at his own hands he noticed three of his fingers were missing
conspicuously in place however was the wedding ring on his left hand
which shined the same as the day he found it in the leaves outside the car dealership that sold him a lemon.

There are holes in Oaks!
deep and growing much deeper
like the maiden's legs
deep and going much deeper
Into! Into! Into! the
Eve — we call Hallow !

The Patron of The Artist as a Young Man

Marco was not aware that he was being patronized
until he decided to open his eyes.
and see the truth about the oils
that surrounded the images of
old highways undeserving of any particular thing of mention.

I opened a fortune cookie and it said "time to make new friends."

I thought of you and wondered "What if we were new?"

The Tones in the Instrument

The guitar crashed against the ears of everyone and he knew it was over. The sound was not quite deafening as he stood on stage looking just above the crowd at the exits. This was a cardinal rule that was followed in case someone caused an unwanted disruption. He was gifted. He was talented. He knew it was time to continue doing various other work with the instruments he had gained. Dear Prudence was his last cover song of the evening.

Eat this...

It was Neil's tone of voice that did it. It was always so precise, so deeply resonant that anything Neil said sounded absolutely true and undeniable. It was quickly becoming her favorite quality of his. Making their way to the entrance she looked at him almost strategically. Entering the subdued lighting of the foyer he looked so much a gentlemen with short dark wavy hair, auburn eyes, and an almost olive complexion as he took two tickets from his noir suit jacket. "Shall we?", he asked. "Oh I think so," she said rather implicatively.

Permission Foreword

We are now engaged in a society where all decisions are of the utmost importance. From where and
how we get our water supply to who we choose to mate with if anyone. This is due to the instantaneous
consequences that are a result of our fast paced advancing technological era. Each decision made
must be weighed in terms of its value to our lives as a whole. The category of these decisions is best
described as the decisions of destiny. For, each decision made will completely change our destiny.
But, this is not the main point of Permission, really only a minor point in the film. No, the main point of Permission is for us to all study how it is we come to our conclusions in
life and how we make our decisions. The truth is, and it is an absolute truth, that we all make decisions
but all decisions we make are influenced by the decisions of others. We do this automatically probably
because of our cognitive states of consciousness do not usually feed us this information as it is
not necessary for the function of making decisions in the first place. As long as our decisions are
considered advantageous we generally do not even question why we are making them. Also, and this is the
central absolute truth, We all make decisions based on the permission of others either directly in the
case of commands or directives , and this is usually the case, indirectly through our own unconscious
reasoning. Regardless of which is influencing us, others or our own subconscious reasoning. Regardless of which is influencing us, others or our own subconscious reasoning, we are
always in a state of needing Permission. This permission is constant with one exception. The source that we acquire permission from or require permission from in some cases of action is subject to change. This is
a result of the source itself needing it's own permission. Here is our dilema: By entering into this world of permission our options begin to become more and more exclusive. What if anything can we ourselves do?
