5. St. Ides

St. Ides experienced consistency issues, in terms of price and quality. In Jersey I remember buying one for $2.50 and being able to savor a few sips and continue to down the bottle. The 8.2 percent alcohol felt extremely mild and the buzz was clean enough to be a passenger in an automobile (I get car sick easily). In the heartland of Pennsylvania, St. Ides was over $3.00 and once in a while I got that nasty camo-esque aftertaste. St. Ides wins on style points with its crooked “I” and infamous Ice-Cube Commercial.
